In the bylanes of Sanganer — Jaipur's 300-year-old block-printing quarter — our artisans carve each peacock motif from teakwood, dip it in azo-free pigment, and press it onto pure cotton with a single confident strike. No machines. No shortcuts. Each sheet takes 4 hours to print.

The peacock was chosen because in Rajputana mythology, it symbolises rain, prosperity, and new beginnings — all that monsoon promises. Wearing a Jaipur Fabrics peacock print on your bed is wearing 300 years of Rajasthani craft heritage.

Cold water wash only
Wash in cold water (30°C max) to preserve the block-print colours during humid monsoon months. Hot water fades natural dyes faster.

Air-dry in shade
Avoid direct sun during drying — it can cause uneven fading on block-printed fabric. A shaded spot with good airflow works best in monsoon.

Mild detergent only
Use a gentle, pH-neutral detergent. Harsh chemicals strip the azo-free dyes. Liquid detergents are gentler than powder on printed fabric.

Wash inside-out
Turn the bedsheet inside-out before washing to protect the printed side from abrasion in the machine drum. Protects colour vibrancy for 60+ washes.

No bleach, ever
Bleach destroys natural block-print pigments permanently. For stubborn stains, a paste of baking soda and mild soap works well without damage.

Store folded, not rolled
In monsoon humidity, rolled storage traps moisture. Fold flat and store in a breathable cotton bag to prevent mildew in humid climates.
